We have some of the most wonderful and generous clients! One of our favorites often hosts a holiday party in December for just under 100 guests in her beautifully decorated home.

This year’s party had particularly festive décor, and a great mix of guests. We love doing holiday parties, working with our return (and first time) clients to create the right vibe – and the ideal foods and drink to suit the occasion!

Here’s what expert party planner David Jackson prepared for the evening:

Butlered Appetizers served just as guests arrived:

The bar was well-stocked with favorites, such as
Perrier Lauren Rose Champagne, Sauvignon Blanc, Rombauer Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Willimette Valley, French Rose, and Cognac.

David Jackson also prepared a special (very popular!) holiday cocktail. Our Christmas Poinsetta was a merry mix of Champagne, Cranberry juice, and Grand Marnier, served with Cranberries and Fresh Rosemary in these gorgeous glasses!

As guests progressed to a seated Main Course, we served

Caviar Cake with Melba Toasts, Imported Cheese Trays,

Dauphinnoise Potatoes with Shaved Black Truffles,
Multi Colored Baby Carrots Steamed with European Butter, Sea Salt Jumbo Asparagus with Wasabi Mayonnnaise
and Individual Brussel Sprout, Kale, Orange and Pomegranate Salad

No holiday party is complete without our famous Holiday Yule Log for dessert. We also offered Lemon Curd or Chocolate Tarts, Forest Gateau Raspberry Shooters, Mini Chocolate Cups with Raspberry Mousse, and Mini Fresh Fruit Tarts.

Suffice it to say, every      one left with a full stomach (yumm!) and lots of holiday spirit! Thank you, David!

Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering team has been told that we ask a lot of questions of our clients. We do that to make sure we understand exactly what you want your event to express.

You see where we are going here. Our experience with hundreds of parties with every conceivable option sets us apart from many other caterers and event planners. We build each and every event around your ideas, the tone you want to set, and the lasting impression you want to make.

Our team’s questions are great conversation starters and set up to make sure we get where you are coming from. At Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering, we are good listeners – and happy to provide answers to your questions as well.

Sure, we are a catering company. But that general term is deceiving.

As our repeat clients know, we do soooo much more than “plan, prepare and serve.”

We truly are event planners, which means the earlier you contact us in your planning process, the more we can help you with the kind of experience and due diligence 20 years in the business has provided us. We can provide all kinds of ideas for your upcoming event you may not have thought of.

And -- we can also help steer you away from making costly mistakes.

That’s because, by providing food and resources for well over 6,000 parties in our 20 years in Indy, we know things like:

We are more than happy to help first timers and experienced corporate event planners pull together truly memorable events, from the first “save the date” to clean up at the end of a terrific party.

Let’s work together to get the ball rolling in the right direction for your 2024 event!

Lots of companies throw holiday parties. So it takes a little something extra to go above and beyond to create a truly memorable experience.

The best holiday festivities are lively, colorful and offer something a little different. That’s why Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering is often tapped to provide a food-forward event with emphasis on big taste, variety and …a sustainable footprint.

From large corporations to smaller local organizations, we are hired because of our A+ 20-year reputation and increasingly, for our farm-to-table, sustainable, organic, locally sourced foods. Invitees and businesses want to know the holiday event they are throwing is as responsible as it is fun!

One of our favorite recent holiday parties was upscale and festive. Guests arrived for cocktails and beautiful décor, underscored by low key lighting and a 5-piece orchestra playing in the background.

Our bartender served two special holiday concoctions, one alcoholic, and another – just as festive – a mocktail. Indiana red and white wines were also available as well as two popular beers, both locally brewed.

Jacquie’s team set out :

Three Layer Pesto Torte with Goat Cheese, Sundried Tomatoes, Fresh Basil Pesto and Pine Nuts with Crackers.

Bourbon Chicken Skewers and
Mini Cuban Sandwiches were also offered.
We offered a vegan option as well, Morbier Grilled Cheese with Tomato Jam Mushrooms Stuffed with Parmesan.

For dinner, we made sure our beef and cheese selections were sourced from Indiana farms:

Rounding out the meal, was:

Jacquie’s team ended the evening on a sweet note, offering an irresistible dessert station filled with everyone’s favorites:

We also made sure to include recycling bins and as few single-use goods as possible. The result was a beautifully prepared and presented holiday party, which everyone – from the staff to the party-goers, could feel good about!

The Conservatory at Evergreen is the newest event space for which Jacquie’s Gourmet team provides catering. Located at 8140 W. 34th St Indianapolis, IN 46214, The Conservatory is set on a lush 23-acre space adjacent to Eagle Creek Reservoir. Privately owned for 92 years, the new owners took care to maintain the integrity, history, and serenity of the surrounding land when they crafted the beautiful glass-walled event building.

The scenery -- visible from all sides -- even the glass roof! -- is nothing short of spectacular, offering panoramic views of a peaceful, pristine lake surrounded by sprawling hills, evergreens, and woods. It’s a beautiful place to begin your event with a wow! – and create a lasting memory.

Conservatory amenities:

Entertain up to 250 guests as you tie the knot or tie one on for a special day that you and your guests will always remember. Here’s what The Conservatory at Evergreen provides:

If you have a special date in your future, holding it at The Conservatory at Evergreen guarantees a "statement event" and a beautiful memory. As always, Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering team has lots of catering and party planning ideas for you and your guests. Let’s start the conversation.

The Conservatory at Evergreen was the place to be last week as The 500 Festival committee honored a group of just under a hundred patrons with an unforgettable banquet.

The views at The Conservatory are stellar, owing largely to its location -- a stone’s throw from Eagle Creek -- surrounded by woods and views of the water. So, this afternoon-into-evening banquet was every bit a feast for the eyes as it was for the tastebuds.

Since the 500 Festival Corporation is a nonprofit organization producing almost 50 events and programs annually, it depends on the hard work of a lot of individuals. And that’s precisely why the 500 Festival folks pulled together this fabulous banquet with food and drinks courtesy of Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering.

What better place to begin a fabulous banquet than with butler-served hors d’ouevres? Jacquie’s Gourmet team passed:

This was followed by the first course:

Guest’s choice of two Entrees included:

Entrees were served with locally grown miniature Root vegetables, Jacquie’s own Fleure de Sel, and micro flowers. Everyone’s favorite, Amelia’s breads were also served with European butter.

Towards the end of the evening, our Dessert Station made its appearance, starring Flaming Long’s Donut Holes served with Hotel Tango Rum, Kahlua and LICK vanilla bean Ice Cream. Even our Coffee Station joined in the fun by offering Spanish Flaming Coffee!

The event was a delicious tribute to all those folks keeping the wheels spinning behind the scenes of The Indianapolis 500 Festival.

These days, just about every event you attend includes social media photos. So – what can you do to look really good in those pics – instead of cringe-worthy?

Here’s what the experts say to do before the event:

Ready, set, strike that pose!

·      Try posing with your hand on your hip to create space between arms and body.

·      Angle your shoulders toward the camera. Then take a deep breath, relax and roll your shoulders back. You’ll look relaxed and confident.

Best way to look like you are relaxed and enjoying an event? Let us do all the work – from set up to tear down – and all that fantastic food and drink in the middle. Let’s talk about that next event you have coming up!

Summertime is when more of us take notice of garden-fresh tomatoes, red leaf lettuce, cucumbers, dill, corn, basil, chives, eggplants, squash and more. And because we’re eating a little lighter as temperatures soar, we make more local and fresh, straight-from-Indiana-garden kind of choices.

Not to brag (well, maybe a little), here at Jacquie’s Catering, we do that kind of thinking year-round. We always make use of the freshest seasonal ingredients. We also keep our choices organic and locally sourced as much as possible – which is quite easy in the summer. You’ll see a lot of that in our crunchy take on summer salads.

Good for us – because we’re all about being ‘locavores.’ That’s always been important to owner Jacquie Bols. What’s more, because we pay attention to things like fresh farm-to-table eggs, cream and butter; in-season fruit and berries as well as Indiana honey, our summer desserts are absolutely amazing!

Here are a few of our swoon-worthy favorites – which we love to offer in smaller, summery servings:

Sometimes it’s hard to decide which of our summer desserts you and your guests will want the most. That’s why we recommend Jacquie’s Gourmet Dessert Bar. You can order all your favorites in guilt-free mini-sizes.

We almost forgot to mention how much we enjoy using fresh summer fruits and juices in our cocktails and mocktails. Those are always crowd-pleasers, too!

There’s still a couple of months of summer weather in Indy, so let’s enjoy the fresh bounty!

Want to have a smaller wedding but also want to be sure the food is fantastic and the day goes smoothly? We have your back at Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering.

We are happy to work with a smaller budget – in fact, we do this quite often. We’ve found that tight budgets don't necessarily mean a muted celebration. It just brings out the creativity in brides …and our helpful party planners!

There are tons of unique ways to work with a smaller budget when planning your ceremony and reception details. Lucky for you, Jacquie Bols has lots of ideas and lots of experience in this area.

Here are her top 5 tips for planning small weddings:

When it comes to food planning, we can help you cut corners without short-changing on taste and quality.

“The world of nonalcoholic spirits is absolutely exploding,” says Jacquie Bols, owner of Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering. “Not only are there a ton of interesting varieties of A/F (alcohol-free) spirits being developed, but bartenders are happily crafting amazing and creative nonalcoholic cocktails. It’s becoming quite trendy to offer a variety of A/F cocktails at an increasing number of parties we cater.”

According to the Alcoholic Beverage Commission, “Growth of non-alcoholic beverage trends across the U.S. is being reflected in sales figures. Between August 2021 and August 2022, total dollar sales of non-alcoholic drinks in the US stood at $395 million, showing a year-on-year growth of +20.6%.”

The reasons are interesting:

Our bartenders and party planners certainly see and appreciate this trend – which won’t be going away any time soon.

How does this affect the next event you plan?

“Don’t make non-alcohol cocktails an after-thought,” suggests one of our favorite bartenders. “Instead, plan on offering several types of A/F bar choices – maybe even headline them.”

At one recent wedding reception, the bride and groom both offered a specialty non-alcoholic cocktail in their honor. “We’ve found attendees really appreciate not having to resort to club soda or flavored sodas for their drink of choice.”

Says Jacquie Bols, “Our bartenders have discovered several tasty and delicious substitutes for bourbon, gin, rum and vodka, and can easily make great cocktails with each of them.”

So why not add A/F drinks to your next event? It’s healthy, trendy, inclusive, and now… absolutely delicious!
