With 3.35 million female gun owners across the county and growing, The NRA Womens’ Network is increasingly popular. It’s a thriving resource for news, education, events and more.

So when the NRA came to Indianapolis for its national meeting last week, the Women’s Leadership Forum held a special afternoon reception at the Governor’s residence on North Meridian Street.

Jacquie's Gourmet Catering made sure the afternoon invitational was as classy as it was delicious.

The well-attended event began at 2:00 with waiters passing delicious Indiana-produced, sustainably harvested hors d’oeuvres. Attendees had their choice of:

  • Flatbread with Buratta, Roasted Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, Olive Oil and Fresh Basil
  • Salmon and Tuna Tartare on English Cucumber Discs
  • Peking Duck Rollups with Michigan Cherries
  • Indiana Corn Cake with Creme Fraiche and Mango Salsa
  • Filet Mignon with Horseradish Cream on Toasted Baguette with Carmelized Onions and Fresh Rosemary
  • Mini Chicken Creole Crepes
with Swiss Chard, Shallot and Parmesan

Red and white wine was available to the guests as well as sparkling water, and house champagne with raspberries. Hibiscus iced tea with mint and cucumber was also served.

Waiters also passed irresistible dessert trays of Chocolate Truffles, Mini Cheesecakes, and Mini Skewered Fruits.

Suffice it to say, those attending found Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering a tasty tribute to Indiana epicurean creativity as well as Hoosier hospitality.
