Magical Moments Event Planning teamed up with Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering to hold a magical bar mitzvah celebration at Tinker House this month.
With a carnival theme in high gear, Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering team pulled together a delightful – and organic, sustainably grown -- menu of fun edibles.
Here’s what the 150 guests at this afternoon to evening event delighted in choosing from. As they entered the Carnival, they were met by carnival barkers hosting Hors d’oeuvres served from an old fashioned cigarette tray:
- Mini Chicken and Belgium Waffle with Indiana Maple Syrup
- Individual Pretzel Bites with Cheese (see photo)
- Grilled Cilantro and Lime Shrimp Skewers
Full Build-Your-Own-Entrée Slider Stations opened a little later in the evening with a choice of:
- Angus Aged Beef Sliders
- Buffalo Chicken Sliders
- Quinoa and Bean Vegetarian Sliders
- Pulled Pork Sliders with Barbeque Sauce
Of course, kids and adults could yum up their sliders as they chose, with an assortment of ketchup, mustard, Colby cheese, blue cheese, carmelized onions, spicy aioli, and/or mayonnaise.
Corn Dog Stations were another big hit, spotlighting:
- Traditional Beef Hot Dog
- Corn Dog
- Gulf Shrimp Corn Dogs
- Mozzarella Corn Dogs
- All available with ketchup, mustard, maple syrup, garlic aioli fixings
Our Mac & Cheese Station rounded out the Carnival of choices:
- Original Creamy Mac and Cheese
- Truffle Mac and Cheese
- Lobster Mac and Cheese
Toppings included bacon, tomatoes, onions, olives, jalapenos, sour cream, roasted peppers, shredded barbeque pork, and Parmesan cheese.
No evening would be complete without something sweet. And since this event was all about choices, a Dessert Station was the perfect vehicle:
- Strawberry and vanilla marshmallows with a variety of chocolate toppings, syrups and whipped creams
- Hot Chocolate and Churros served in cones Churros with Nutella, hot chocolate or caramel sauce
A funtastic bar mitzvah -- imaginative, creative and lots of fun, as they say, “for all ages!”
