Jacquie Bols, owner of Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering, is all about farm-to-table foods.

We serve fresh, organic, sustainably farmed produce for a reason. Not only does organic, locally grown produce have a superior taste,” says Jacquie, “but I like supporting responsible farmers who plant, grow and harvest sustainably rather than mass-produce them on a factory farm.”

“There’s a dramatic difference in texture, taste and crunch in fresh, organic food. It is more flavorful, deeper colored, and has more nutrients. It’s definitely healthier to eat. You can taste the difference.”

“Not only that, but responsible farming makes a huge difference to our soil and water quality, the bees, our air quality, and to our health. Our farmers don’t take short cuts and they don’t employ harmful growth additives or pesticides."

Says Jacquie, “Sustainable farms use responsible agricultural practices that support the environment. When we buy from these farms, we are helping to support these efforts. This is incredibly important to me, and it’s something our clients value as well.”
