8 ways a week!

Here are 8 creative, enticing – and most of all -- memorable ways to cater your next event with us at Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering:

  1. Passed Mini-Bites

Instead of a buffet or plated meal, circulate servers with trays of bite-sized gourmet hors d’oeuvres and small plates. It’s classy and casual.

This is a great way to get your event started when the bar is also open, encouraging small talk and getting guests to circulate. We like to serve:

  • Mini lobster rolls
    • Tiny chicken and waffle cones
    • Shot glasses of gazpacho
    • Mini servings of sushi and sashimi
    • Marinated chicken skewers
  • Grazing Tables

Think of beautifully decorated, (greenery or floral-filled) self-serve tables artfully arranged around the room. Each is filled with artisanal cheeses, charcuterie meats, savory dips, fruits, breads, and spreads. We can style things casually on wooden boards, or take it upscale on tiered stands.

Or, go with several tables, several themes – from Italian pastas to BBQ and sides – taco stations -- even desserts. It’s casual, fun and very adaptable!

  • Chef Action Stations

Our chefs cook while guests watch, using a variety of flambe, smoke, sauces, carving and prep techniques, assembling dishes ‘to taste’ for each guest. Think:

  • Sushi
    • Flambe desserts
    • Fresh pasta and cheese wheels
    • Carving stations
    • BBQ meats
  • Themed Menus

Build your menu around a food concept or a theme appropriate to your guests, such as:

  • Garden party with plant-based and floral infused dishes
    • Southern comfort with brisket, collard greens, cornbread, pecan pie, and fun bar-drinks to round it out
    • Mediterranean mezze spread
    • Ballpark campy it with hotdogs, sliders, and lots of baseball names for beverages (Stealing 2nd potato salad) and sides (Sliding home).
  •  Interactive Food Stations

Let guests customize their own plates at DIY stations. This works very well with large groups (especially office or business related) Options are endless, but especially popular are:

  • Build your own poke bowl
  • Pasta stations with multiple sauce options
  • Gourmet grilled cheese bar (specialty breads and cheeses)
  • Breakfast bar (waffles, bagels, pancakes & toppings, even bacon and egg sandwiches
  • Taco and fajita bar
  • Dessert and Sweet Stations

Such a sweet way to top off an event.

  • Donut wall (such fun!)
  • Sundae stations
  • S’mores bar (great for outside events)
  • Macaron towers
  • Mini pies of skewers
  • Coffee & Hot Chocolate Bars

…are fun and popular ways to end an evening with a flourish!

We set up all kinds of brews and lots and lots of add-ins:

  • Flavored cappuccinos
  • Sweet liquors
  • Multiple chocolate mixers
  • Infusion flavors (hot cinnamons, almond, coconut, cool mint
  • Whipped topics (alcohol-infused and dairy)
  • Let’s get creative together!

Got an idea? We love a challenge and we’re full of ideas. (We love to wow our customers.)
