Thankfully, the Indy 500 is back and up to speed, bringing with it a whole lot of pent up interest in racing. Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering has been a part of the racing scene for years too, and she and her ‘racing team’ is excited to be asked to cater a lovely party for one of Indy’s premier racing families, the Andrettis, on Saturday May 29th just ahead of the 2021 running of the Indy 500.
The Andretti family now includes multiple generations of racing superstars, beginning with Mario Andretti, one of the most successful Americans in the history of the sport. He is also one of only three drivers to have won races in Formula One, IndyCar, World Sportscar Championship, as well as NASCAR.
The event will be held at the gorgeous Andretti family home in Zionsville, for the friends and family of Andretti Motor Sports.
There will also be a food tribute to Indiana including Indiana-grown Corn Cake with Creme Fraiche and Mango Salsa; Mini Chicken and Waffles served with locally-sourced Maple Syrup.
At the Garden Table, Jacquie’s Gourmet team will be setting out Crudite of Vegetables including fresh healthy:
Carrots, Celery, Radish, Cucumber, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Zucchini, Peppers, Squash, and Cherry Tomatoes.
The main course will include a choice of Seared Ahi Tuna or Grilled & Skewered Chicken Breast, Marinated in Lime served with Scallions, Jalapenos and Olive Oil, and Served with Avocado Cream Dip.
It will be accompanied by Asparagus with Wasabi Mayonnaise Dip.
The most fun of the evening will likely be had at the Oyster Shucking Bar, set up in the middle of the festivities. Guests will enjoy a selection of raw East Coat Oysters served in the half shell on ice. Partygoers can pair their oysters with Shallots, Vinegar, Horseradish, Hot Sauce, or Cocktail Sauce.
