How to make this year’s Thanksgiving dinner easy …and delish!

November 5, 2020Lauren Windle

Will you be cooking an entire sit down Thanksgiving dinner for extended family this year?

According to the folks at Butterball (who know these things), many families are opting for smaller get-togethers this year due to COVID-19 concerns. So as you can imagine, turkey sizes are trending down along with gathering sizes.

Not surprisingly, fewer families are planning to eat Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant this year, too. In fact, Thanksgiving day reservations at restaurants are down a whopping 35%.

That said, safe, order-in-advance carry-out Thanksgiving meals are surging upward – which is where Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering comes in.

Here at Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering, would recommend taking a cue from the CDC, and planning a safer Thanksgiving around fewer people. We make that particularly easy, too. You can simply go to https://order.ehungry.com/jacquies/order/home-style-cooked-meals/thanksgiving to take a look at our mouth-watering, sustainably resourced offerings – most harvested from Indiana farms.

Why would you spend upwards of 14-18 hours preparing and cooking a Thanksgiving dinner for 8, when you can pre-order gourmet favorites like

  • spinach salad with apples
  • hand-peeled organic russet mashed potatoes and gravy
  • classic oyster dressing, or even
  • goat cheese with candied pecans.

Just do interesting side dishes, or order a whole, free range, Indiana-raised 10-14 pound roasted turkey brined with herbs and lemon, or roasted angus beef tenderloin – cooked to perfection!

Order from Jacquie’s for your smaller gathering and save on prep time, cooking time and stress. Your food will be exquisitely seasoned and prepared. All you need to do is warm it up and serve it.

You can also pick and choose from our long list of side dishes… or desserts. Jacquie’s favorite desserts include

  • pumpkin bread pudding with caramel sauce
  • apple and raisin bread pudding with Baileys sauce, or
  • 7 layer carrot cake.

De-stress and enjoy your holiday, surrounded by friends, small family or extended family – and most of all -- stay safe.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering!
