Trinity Episcopal Church summer afternoon concert

Who doesn’t enjoy a beautiful piano concert on a lovely late summer afternoon? Especially when that concert is accompanied by fantastic hors d’oeuvres, paired with a light dinner and topped off with yummy desserts – all donated by Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering?

This mini piano concert was for a great cause, to support Trinity Episcopal Church, 3243 N. Meridian Street. The event was donation based and held at the Watanabe House on Michigan Road.

The afternoon began at 3:00 with a selection of Jacquie’s much-anticipated light hors d’oeuvres;

Mini chicken creole crepes, and

Mini watermelon cubes with goat cheese, mint and fig balsamic

Later, entrees were brought out to the delighted guests, who chose from:

  • Seared focally farmed hanger steak with chimichurri seasonings
  • Cedar plank salmon, served with papaya and mango salsa
  • Mini mozzarella and heirloom tomato skewers
  • Dauphinnoise potatoes
  • Haricot verts
  • Crusty breads with butter

After the lovely piano concerto, a perfect selection of light “mini desserts” was served, including Belgium chocolate tarts, Lemon meringue tarts and Strawberry tarts.

Lovely afternoon of music. Lovely dining. Lovely guests. A very fitting way to honor and support this stately and historic church in the center of Indy.
