Jacquie’s catering team has worked with many recently bereaved families to pull together a beautiful gathering to celebrate the life, memories and family of someone they have lost.
We recognize how important food is to family memories. Families come together around the table -- for birthdays, holidays, family dinners, and special occasions. Food is life. Food is family.
With that in mind, we feel especially honored to work together with families to help create the right kind of celebration of life for a much loved family member... with family favorite foods, and special treats to honor, recognize and appreciate their lasting contributions.
We also understand it can be difficult to make planning decisions right after a loss. And even harder to do the time-consuming work involved in buying, preparing, cooking, and serving the food involved. So -- our team is here to help.
We often suggest starting a conversation around menus that feel connected to your family roots. After asking a few questions, we can circle back with menu options, offering a variety of menus that work well together.
Setting up self-serve stations is a very helpful way to provide numerous options to attendees. Stations can be upscale, enthnically focused, Indiana-grown, hot or cold, or a little bit of everything. People like food stations because they like choices. Another reason is that offering food stations gets guests to mingle, talk, and feel more at ease.
What type of food stations are best for your group of family and friends is wide open. Jacquie's team can provide salad stations, taco or slider stations, mac n cheese stations, ice cream stations, coffee stations, and/or dessert stations. We can also do upscale appetizer pairings, mini beef wellingtons, charcuterie boards, pulled pork, teriyaki chicken skewers... really, the sky is the limit!
We can also provide special menus for children and those with food allergies and preferences. Wine and beer services are always an option, as well.
We’re happy to help you with any event of course – but especially those that are fraught with emotion and need (for everyone’s sake) to be easy to host and attend – making for an appropriate tribute to a beloved family member.
