The newest event center in Zionsville, nicknamed the “ZU” – shorthand for Zionsville’s Underground Event Center -- opened this past April with plenty of room for up to 177 people (depending on how seating is arranged).
Since their grand opening, Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering has provided food and drink for multiple ZU events, from training seminars to corporate events, easy-going team parties to charming rehearsal dinners.
It’s a great place for family and friends to gather and celebrate. With a state of the art auditorium, tricked out stage, beautifully lit bar, and SONOS sound system and multiple screens surrounding the stage, the ZU is a very adaptable place suited for all kinds of events – especially those that require audio-visual support.
Located in the Carter Building at 91 South Main Street, you’ll find the Zionsville Underground in the lower level of the former Zionsville Toy Museum, which means there are lots of imaginative spaces inside!
The Underground bar, for instance, was formerly home to the ice cream parlor just above the Toy Museum. The original antique pressed tin ceiling – now over the stage -- was retained by the new owners, formerly over the Toy Museum bumper car area. Today, you’ll also find a beautiful baby grand piano at the ZU – perfect for Jazz Nights at the Underground – a frequent special event featuring wine, hors d’oeuvres, and terrific singing by some of Indy’s finest vocalists.
Who wouldn't want to book an event at this interesting place? As the Underground owners like to say, the ZU is "a place for any celebration, for any reason, in any season."
