When we are asked to help with a celebration of life, we are especially careful to make sure we honor the tone and choices the family, our clients, make. Every detail counts in everything we do of course, but we recognize that celebration of life events are critically important. We want to help this very emotional day go smoothly. For the grieving family, and for everyone who comes to pay tribute to the person who meant so much to each of them.
A few Saturdays ago, we helped a Westfield family client put together an evening dinner for just under 50 friends and family honor a much-beloved individual who had recently passed.
While family and friends arrived, our staff offered a Crudite of fresh garden vegetables with a variety of healthy, chef-prepared dips including hummus, three-layer pesto torte, and crostinis with basil, tomato, garlic, tapenade and harissa.
While guests mingled and shared memories our servers passed an assortment of hors d’oeuvres:
Dinner included a buffet, so everyone could choose precisely what they preferred. Choices at the beautifully appointed buffet table included:
The dessert was a family-favorite, Tiramisu – freshly prepared by our amazing dessert chef – and well accompanied by an array of coffees.
Life is full of events to celebrate, from birth announcements, to milestone birthday parties, engagements, weddings, retirements, and celebrations of life. We treat each event carefully, listening to what is desired, and helping everyone at every event leave feeling well-cared for, well-fed, and supported.
